Got stuck at work one day with my car refusing to come out of park and after researching online, I found this site and ordered my part. The part was super easy to replace but I will say taking everything apart to get to it wasn't so much fun but it wasn't hard too horrible. I did 95% of it myself before the husband finally showed up to ask if I needed any help....

Park Lock Out Mechanism for 300C Chrysler |

This part should be standard on all Chrysler vehicles. I can't believe a small piece off the hook, as small as a grain of rice, broke off and the car didn't work. This part saved me hundreds od dollars in repairs and the instructions were excellent. I would like to add that when you disconnect the linkage to remove the gear box, it says to mark down the number of notches and replace the same way it was so you don't have to go through an adjustment process. Well, when you get to that part, grab a pen and make a mark on the beige plastic and notice your linkage will be a milimeter off because the pen can get tight into the corner. That worked excellent for me and may help people with poor eyesight. Those notches are hard to see unless you grab a silver marker and touch them up for better viewing. Thank you so much. The car is running again and we are very happy.

Got nailed with the "pink shifter thingy" breakage, luckily the car was in the garage. the 300/LX forums got us going with the screwdriver workaround until I got the part in. Ordered on Monday, shipped on Tuesday, in my hands on Friday. Had to work saturday so installed it on sunday. Provided instructions were more than enough for my limited mech. skills. If you don't need it yet, buy it when there's a coupon for the added incentive, but mostly get it because even under warranty the dealer will just replace it with the same old thing and the clock starts ticking again. Thanks much BT for making this piece, nice to have someone looking out for us when our OEM and dealers aren't.

I also fell victim to the dreaded cheap pink thing. I called BT and even with standard shipping had my part in 3 business days. It was easy to install thanks to very detailed instructions. Overall it took about 45 min. to complete.
Thanks again!
